Arbor Associates is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join an adult community‑based crisis stabilization program in Pittsfield, MA.
This is a weekend contract position supporting adults experiencing acute psychiatric crises, including psychosis and other serious mental health challenges, in a short‑term, recovery‑focused setting.
This role is ideal for an LPN who is calm under pressure, clinically solid, and passionate about behavioral health and crisis work.
About the RoleAs a weekend LPN on the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit, you will provide hands‑on nursing care and medication support while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary clinical team. The program emphasizes safety, stabilization, and transition back to the community.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and manage medications as ordered within scope of practice
- Conduct nursing assessments (vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, anxiety, pain, wounds, infection, blood glucose, and psychiatric presentation)
- Respond effectively to psychiatric and medical emergencies
- Support individuals experiencing psychosis and acute mental health distress
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records
- Collaborate with outpatient providers to support discharge and aftercare planning
- Facilitate basic health and wellness education groups
- Encourage activities of daily living and self‑care
- Provide limited transportation to medical appointments as needed

- Active Massachusetts LPN license
- Behavioral health, psychiatric, or crisis experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfort working with diverse adult populations
- Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
- EMR experience preferred
