American Traveler is seeking an ER RN for a night shift assignment requiring SANE certification and 2 years of ER experience.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospital with 104 staffed beds
- General ER serving combined adult and pediatric patients in a non-trauma setting
- STEMI and Stroke Certified facility handling shock/trauma, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation, head injury, near drowning, and spinal cord injury cases
- Manages cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, neuro-trauma, and ortho trauma cases
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Required to float or take call at a second ER location approximately 20 minutes from the main campus
- Uses Meditech Expanse charting system
- At least one holiday shift required
- Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, and SANE (in hand at time of consideration)
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, and ENPC
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
- Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, and ABG interpretation
- Experience with continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
- Meditech charting experience preferred
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, pediatric, neurological, and orthopedic cases
- Responsible for triage and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- May be required to float between two ER locations depending on patient volume and census
- Local candidates accepted; candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are considered local
- Maximum RTO allowed is 7 days, with willingness to work 1 of 3 holidays if RTO falls during that period
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Previous employees must have a 3-year gap since last working at the facility before returning as a traveler
