American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with circulate and PACU experience for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 2 years of OR nursing experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

• Work in the Operating Room department of a short-term acute care hospital with 104 staffed beds
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Call requirements include a minimum of one weekend per month (Friday 16:30 through Monday 06:00) and one weekday per week
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, limited to task assignments only
• Uses Meditech charting system
• Case types may include gynecology, orthopedic, neurology, general surgery, podiatry, ENT, urology, and endoscopic procedures
• Uses equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana table, and Steris systems

• Active IN RN license or compact license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required; NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Circulate and PACU experience required
• C-section experience required
• Familiarity with orthopedic procedures required
• Community hospital experience preferred

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• No parking costs for staff
• Candidates may float to an affiliate hospital nearby depending on volume and census
• Maximum RTO is 7 days, and time off during holidays requires willingness to work at least 1 of 3 designated holidays
• Up to 8 hours of onboarding modules preferred to be completed within 1 week of signing
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted, with candidates considered local if residing within 50 miles of the hospital
