American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring tele experience and PALS certification for pediatric admissions.
Details- Med/Surg unit within a short-term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-06:30)
- Minimum of 3 weekend shifts required within a 6-week period
- Possibility of floating based on unit or hospital needs
- Possibility of being placed on-call
- Uses Meditech charting system
- Active RN license (IN state or compact) required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
- Tele experience required
- Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred
- PALS certification required prior to start due to pediatric admissions on this unit
- Unit admits pediatric patients, making PALS certification a facility requirement
- Any scrub color accepted, professional appearance expected
- Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with no time off permitted over Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's holidays
- Call-in for a scheduled shift requires making up the missed shift by picking up another
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted for those residing within 50 miles of the facility
