American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring telemetry experience and comfort caring for a pediatric patient population.

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule (3-4x12 hours, 18:00-06:30)
• Minimum 3 weekends required per 6-week period
• Possibility of floating based on unit and hospital needs
• Possibility of being placed on-call
• Uses Meditech charting system

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
• PALS certification must be obtained prior to start as unit admits pediatric patients
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Med/Surg experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients

• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg, Orthopedic, Cardiovascular, GU/Renal, and Plastics patient populations
• Scrubs of any color accepted, professional appearance expected
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for three years before returning as a traveler
