American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring tele experience and PALS certification due to pediatric admissions.

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a short term acute care hospital with 78 staffed beds
• Night shift schedule of 3-4 x12 hour shifts (18:00-06:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Minimum of 3 weekends required within a 6 week period
• Possible on-call responsibilities
• Possible floating based on unit and hospital needs
• Uses Meditech charting system

• Active RN license (IN state or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• PALS certification required prior to start due to pediatric admissions on this unit
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Ambulatory and Med/Surg experience preferred
• Comfortable caring for pediatric patients

• Provide nursing care to a Med/Surg patient population including ambulatory and telemetry monitoring needs
• Scrubs of any color accepted, professional appearance expected
• Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted
• Candidates requesting holiday RTO must be willing to work one of the three major holidays
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted, defined as residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for three years before returning as a traveler
