The Safety Manager I will promote and maintain a culture of safety excellence, implement safety programs, conduct training, and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

• Safety Program Development:
  Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies; review and update safety manuals, procedures, and protocols to meet federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices.

  Conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and workshops; coordinate with department managers to provide job‑specific training and certifications.
• Safety Inspections and Audits:
  Perform regular inspections and audits of worksites, equipment, and facilities; document findings, issue corrective actions, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Incident Investigation and Reporting:
  Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports with analysis and recommendations for management and regulatory agencies.
• Safety Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
  Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other occupational health and safety regulations; keep up to date on regulatory changes and implement necessary updates.
• Safety Communication and Promotion:
  Promote a safety‑first culture through meetings, newsletters, posters, and digital signage; encourage employee participation in safety programs and committees.

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental health, industrial hygiene, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CHST, CIH) preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in safety management or related roles, preferably in construction, steel fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software/tools.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety management.
