Role Description The Welding Inspector is a full-time, on-site role based in Lebanon, IN. This role is responsible for inspecting welded components and assemblies to ensure they meet applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include performing visual and dimensional inspections, reviewing welding procedures, verifying materials and welders’ qualifications, and documenting inspection results. The Welding Inspector collaborates with project teams and quality personnel to address nonconformities, support corrective actions, and maintain consistent quality on mission-critical projects.

The role also involves maintaining accurate inspection records and reporting findings in a clear, organized manner.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Welding Inspection and Inspection methods relevant to industrial and mission-critical facilities.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to support compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Candidates should possess practical Welding knowledge to understand welding procedures, materials, and techniques.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent credentials are highly beneficial.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical environments and familiarity with applicable welding codes (e.g., AWS, ASME) are preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams on-site are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures, and to use inspection tools and measurement devices accurately.
