Heavy Equipment Operator (Dozer)
Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in Dozer operation for large earthmoving projects. This role focuses on commercial work, primarily operating on standard earth terrain and open farmland.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Finish Dozer to achieve rough and/or final grade on commercial projects.
- Handle large earthmoving tasks on sites ranging from 200,000 to 20 million yards of dirt.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise grading.
- Maintain communication and awareness of surroundings to ensure safety and efficiency.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of recent experience operating a Dozer in a Rough and/or Finish capacity.
- Proficiency with equipment such as D6 - D10 CAT Dozer or equivalent.
- Ability to operate on mass grading sites for commercial projects.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory.
- Capability to be insured to operate company vehicles is advantageous.
- Experience with Trimble and Topcon GPS systems is beneficial.

Work Environment
The work is conducted on a civil construction site located on open farmland in Lebanon, IN, subject to varying weather conditions. Summers are hot and humid with potential thunderstorms, while winters can be cold with rain, snow, and wind. Adherence to high safety standards per OSHA protocols is required. A professional appearance and behavior are expected in line with the site code of conduct.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
