Job Summary

As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
  • Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
  • Perform daily check-in, assigned preventive maintenance work orders, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
Required Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide; ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Client-facing role requiring good customer skills and a highly professional attitude.
Preferred Skills
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • CMMS experience
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school/apprenticeship diploma required
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
  • OSHA 10 certification highly preferred
  • Electrician's license highly preferred
  • Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes
  • Valid Driver's license required
Required Experience
  • 5 years of electrical experience
  • 3–4 years of job-related experience (per role requirements)
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Trade school or apprenticeship background
Work Environment /

Physical Requirements
  • This is a new worksite; team is currently working in office trailers.
  • Some independent work and some team work.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Potential for overtime.
  • Background package: CBRE Safety Specific with drug screen.
