Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Traveling Lead Tech/Superintendent in Lebanon, IN. The Traveling Lead Tech/Superintendent acts as the on-site coordinator and supervisor for large-scale structured cabling and infrastructure projects, ensuring job completion according to strict quality and safety standards. This role manages multiple crew leads, oversees technical troubleshooting, and serves as the primary customer liaison on-site to maintain project efficiency.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading hyperscale projects and a strong background in telecommunications and team management.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $32 to $45 Per Hour BOE

Licenses/Certifications

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency
  • Valid Driver's License
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise several Crew Leads and project crews to ensure effective performance and provide necessary training to staff.
  • Assume responsibility for adherence to company and customer safety and quality guidelines, including holding weekly safety meetings.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure productivity, job completion, and compliance with the project budget.
  • Complete all project paperwork accurately and on time, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, and change orders.
  • Perform quality checks, coordinate moves, and manage cut sheets for voice and data cross-connects.
  • Prepare red-lined as-built drawings and serve as the main on-site customer contact for questions and construction meetings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they arise during the installation process.
  • Ensure all technical work, including fiber termination, is performed consistently according to project specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field.
  • At least six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience leading field crews.
  • Proven experience working on hyperscale projects or major project crews.
  • Demonstrated skill in terminating fiber and troubleshooting technical infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents.
  • Strong knowledge of universal communications color codes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and MS Project.
  • Possession of a comprehensive set of telecommunications tools, including punch tools, crimp tools, and testers.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand and walk very large job sites regularly.
  • Ability to work at various heights on a ladder and in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print, and hear audible signals.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the branch or regional territory as needed.
  • Ability to use hand tools and maneuver materials for extended periods of time.
Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $32 to $45 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
