Lead, Value Added

SUMMARY

To coordinate workers in Project/Value Add Area and to meet accuracy standards and deadlines for all customer orders and internal projects.

• Distributes daily work assignments in accordance with procedures established by Picking Supervisor;
• Monitors productivity of workers and documents any system or personnel problems;
• Keeps supervisor informed of: any projected delays, staff movement to other departments, and job assignments;
• Trains new employees;
• Assists supervisor with annual performance reviews;
• Sets up and maintains all projects from start to finish, while maintaining accuracy and meeting all shipping and internal deadlines
• Assists with work backlogs as needed;
• Assists with cost analysis on projects;
• Back-up for Picking and Replenishment Leads during vacation times;
• Other duties as assigned.

Value Add/Picking Associates/Temporary Employees

• Ability to create and maintain excel and word reports;
• Ability to operate a counterbalance;
• Ability to lift 50 pounds;
• Excellent communication, problem documentation, delegation, team leadership skills;
• Ability to master warehouse WMS system and Bartender Program;
• Familiarity with Radio Frequency helpful.

Equivalent to or at least a high school diploma and minimum 2 yrs. warehouse Lead experience preferred.
