POSITION SUMMARY
The CNC Programmer will work with the Engineering and Production teams to support all CNC programming at the facility. This position will lead all programming and nesting for all the CNC Routers and Cutting Machinery at the facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Design cut programs from 3D CAD models to support production of finished goods.
- Program all CNC machines for routing and cutting of raw materials.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Project Managers, and Designers to ensure products meet product requirements.
- Work with third party vendors to develop improved tooling for machine processing.
- Support production by training operators on proper operational and nesting procedures.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
- Minimum Degree
Required:
Trade, Tech or Vocational Education - Preferred Degree:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Programming (if applicable) - Years of experience: 3 to 5 years
- Experience with 3D CAD programs (Catia, Solid Works, Inventor).
- Strong knowledge of G and M Code.
- Strong computer skills.
- Knowledge of Mastercam Software is a plus.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Less than 10%
Regularly walks, sits, stands, and does computer work.
Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENTPerforms tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
