Hanson School is seeking a full‑time school nurse for the start of the school year. Candidates who hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, have a minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting and hold a valid Maine RN license and/or Multistate RN license are invited to apply.
- Promote the health and safety of students and staff
- Provide health assessments
- Develop and implement health plans
- Maintain, evaluate, and interpret cumulative health data to accommodate the individual health needs of students
- Coordinate referrals
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Follow confidentiality with regards to both student and staff health issues
- Collaborate with other team members
- Provide education/training in support of student health
- Follow state guidelines for the management of communicable diseases
