To provide supplementary aids and services to enable students to access the general curriculum and to be educated to the maximum extent appropriate, with the goal of ensuring quality social interactions that facilitate a sense of belonging, enhance actual student learning, and promote relationships, while progressing toward mastery of the goals.

Supervises students at all times.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Certificates
60 college credit hours or passing score on the Para Assessment; or such alternative to these qualifications that the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Skills and Abilities
Language
Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret professional documents, board policy, administrative procedures/forms, and government regulations and guidelines. Must be able to complete forms, write reports, and engage in written correspondence.
Computation
The individual must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning
Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and exercise objective and prudent judgment.
Technology
The individual must understand basic computer functions such as word processing, spreadsheets, and internet use.

Skills and Abilities
The employee must have the ability to follow verbal instructions and written plans of certificated staff members, seeking clarification as needed; must maintain a high level of competence and integrity at all times; must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding students and families when required by law, policy, or a particular situation. The employee must engage in self-reflection and self-assessment to learn and grow;
also, must accept and use constructive feedback.
