Engineering Manager

Relate Search is partnering with a leading manufacturer of recreational and marine products in search of an Engineering Manager to oversee engineering, research and development, product management, manufacturing engineering, and technical documentation functions. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this highly visible leadership role will drive product innovation, engineering strategy, and operational excellence while supporting the development of next‑generation products. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of experienced engineering professionals, collaborate closely with operations and commercial teams, and play a key role in bringing innovative products from concept through production.

• Lead engineering, product development, R&D, manufacturing engineering, and documentation teams while establishing engineering priorities aligned with business objectives.
• Drive new product development initiatives from concept through production, including prototype development, product validation, and commercialization efforts.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, sales, and marketing teams to improve manufacturability, product performance, quality, and overall operational efficiency.
• Manage engineering budgets, project timelines, resource allocation, and strategic initiatives while ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
• Develop and mentor engineering talent while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6+ years of progressive engineering experience, including leadership or management responsibility within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting product development, manufacturing engineering, and process improvement initiatives from concept through production.
• Strong project management, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience utilizing CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar engineering design platforms.
