ENVIRONMENTAL --- CHIEF WWTP OPERATOR - (Equipment Technician V)

If you have experience working in an "activated sludge" wastewater treatment plant; have experience performing various wastewater laboratory tests; and have prior supervisory experience, then we invite you to consider applying for this position with the City of Lebanon.

• Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of the WWTP to ensure compliance with Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) operating permit
• Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled activities to facilitate safe completion of daily work assignments
• Provide guidance, assistance and/or supervision to lower-level associates

• Associate degree in a wastewater related field PLUS four (4) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
  PLUS six (6) years' experience in the operation of an activated sludge WWTP
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred OR
• Five (5) years of experience in an Equipment Technician III-IV position within the City of Lebanon or municipal government entity
• SUBSTITUTION

  Additional education and/or certification(s) may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience

• Valid Driver's License
  • Class B Commercial Driver's License will be required within six (6) months of employment
• Wastewater Treatment "B" Certification

• Has demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
• Has experience working within the wastewater field/profession
• Has prior experience performing wastewater laboratory testing
