Job Title: General Maintenance

Reports to: Director of Maintenance

Summary

To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play and develop.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Help perform repairs in the facilities owned or operated by the district
• Make repairs to facilities as needed when assigned by Maintenance Director.
• Helps perform ground maintenance duties as required and supervise any part-time workers.
• Helps keep vehicle, equipment, and tools in safe operating condition.
• Examine district owned facilities and equipment when required for purpose of preventive maintenance.
• Assist with snow removal during the winter months.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certificates/ Licenses

• Valid Missouri driver license with no restrictions
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Skills and Abilities

Language

Must have the ability to read and understand written instruction and to communicate verbally with other district employees.

Reasoning

Must have the ability to solve practical problems and follow directions as given.

Additional

Skills and Abilities

The individual must have the ability and knowledge to operate a tractor and landscaping equipment. Also, must have the ability to operate riding or power mowers, power tools, and hand tools.

Walking

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, climb, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to handle tools or controls.

Seeing

The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally the employee will lift or move up to 100 lbs.
