Position Overview
As part of the talented Lowe Boats team an Assembler will assemble aluminum boats and sub‑assemblies, partially or completely, working at the bench, in a boat, or on the shop floor.
Essential Functions- Position parts according to the unit being assembled or following blueprints.
- Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners; use jigs and glue.
- Remove small quantities of metal with hand files and shears to produce a close fit between parts.
- Operate drill presses, punch presses, air tools, or riveting machines to assist in assembly.
- Install seats, bases, pedestals, consoles, cables, controls, graphics, etc.
- Follow quality‑systems procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Self‑starter, team player with strong safety awareness.
- Ability to stand, bend, and twist for a 10‑hour shift.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in boat assembly preferred.
- May be required to work in a non‑air‑conditioned area.
- Regularly required to work at heights on platforms, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and odors on a daily basis.
- PPE required: hearing protection, vision protection, safety toe shoes, safety gloves.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $18.05–$19.25 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary based on job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. This position is eligible for a 2% annual productivity bonus.
