Compensation: Base pay begins at $23.67 per hour, with adjustments based on your specific background.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with additional Friday hours required when necessary.
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join a manufacturer focused on aluminum boat production. This role is perfect for those who possess a background in aluminum welding and find satisfaction in hands-on craftsmanship and high-quality output.
This position features a consistent four-day schedule with potential Friday overtime. We are looking for self-starters who are reliable, motivated, and capable of balancing independent tasks with collaborative team efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques on aluminum.
- Competence in utilizing precision measurement instruments like squares and tape measures.
- Foundational mechanical skills and assembly experience.
- Safe operation of various power and hand tools, such as drills, riveters, sanders, and grinders.
- Physical capability to stand, stoop, bend, and navigate confined areas for long shifts.
- Ability to lift loads weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a production setting where temperatures can rise above 100 degrees.
- Flexibility to support production needs by working overtime.
- Dedication to maintaining superior workmanship and a secure workplace.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean workspace to help ensure a safe environment for the entire team.
- Execute precise aluminum welds on various alloys and thicknesses per project requirements.
- Utilize power and hand tools to construct aluminum boat assemblies.
- Confirm part alignment and measurements to ensure structural integrity and proper fit.
- Review finished components to uphold rigorous quality standards and minimize defects.
- Operate with high efficiency to meet the demands of a fast-paced production floor.
- Adhere to all established company policies and safety protocols to protect yourself and others.
- Coordinate with colleagues to achieve collective production targets and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in reading tape measures.
- Experience working within a manufacturing facility.
