Our coverage is a team model, so candidates with specific strengths or weaknesses can often be accommodated.

We cover the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, which is a Level I Trauma Center and has a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Emergency Radiology schedule is a 7‑day‑on, 14‑days‑off schedule with staggered, overlapping shifts covering the evening and overnight hours.

Our evening and overnight Emergency Radiology team are important educators in our residency. Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residency programs, including Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. Residents participating in 24‑hour coverage of the ED work alongside our emergency radiology team, attending lectures, case conferences, and at‑the‑station teaching. Many members of our Emergency Radiology division have won awards for their advocacy and teaching.

The Department values patient‑centered care and a highly collaborative, respectful, caring, and engaging work environment. There is a strong working relationship with other Departments, and faculty are encouraged to participate in national societies and organizations, with an eye toward developing a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence.
