Position: Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology

Description

This contract position is an on‑site role that offers an exceptional opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment, providing critical care and pain management services.

As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgical teams to develop anesthesia care plans, monitor patients’ vital signs, and manage anesthesia during surgeries. This role contributes significantly to our commitment to delivering high‑quality medical services and patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams to develop anesthesia care plans
  • Evaluate patients’ medical histories and assess anesthesia risks
  • Provide post‑anesthesia care and support to ensure patient recovery
  • Document all anesthesia procedures and patient responses accurately
  • Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology and pain management
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in Lebanon
  • Experience in administering anesthesia in a clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of anesthetic agents and techniques
  • Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment

Schedule:

4x or 5x 10‑hour shifts per week

No call

Cases:
Primarily orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, urology, trauma, endo, and general surgery; no OB, cardiac, or neonatal

Ideally, will supervise 2-3 rooms

EMR:
Epic

Must be board‑certified or board‑eligible

Paid travel & expenses
