We are Reeson Education, a recruitment agency dedicated to placing educators in primary schools. We are currently working with a fantastic primary school in Portsmouth looking for a confident SEN teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis in their SEN provision.

• Support children with additional needs in their academic and personal growth and assist the teacher when delivering lessons and activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
• Promote a positive and nurturing learning environment where children want to be and want to learn.
• Encourage independence and enable pupils to achieve.
• Implement individual education plans, behaviour and care strategies and promote positive behaviour encouraging pupils to make the right choices.
• Participate in regular training sessions provided by the school.

The successful teaching assistant will be a caring and compassionate individual with a drive to enable children with additional needs to achieve success in their education and to ensure all individual needs are met. This role is Monday to Friday on a long‑term basis with the chance to move onto a school contract. Start date ASAP.
