Leadership Motivation Spirit Perseverance Respect Integrity Dependability Excellence Lebanon Middle School is a middle school for students in 5th through 8th grades from Lebanon, with students from Grantham, NH joining our school in 7th grade.
Grade 5 students remain primarily in self-contained classes with a single teacher providing the majority of instruction. Grade 6 students are assigned an advisory on their team and change classes for each of the core subjects: reading, written language, math, science, and social studies. Students in grades seven and eight are assigned to advisories on their teams. Each team will consist of a language arts, a science, a social studies, and a math teacher and some of our unified arts teachers.
Students are scheduled on a team whenever possible.
All students participate in Essential Arts classes, which consist of: family and consumer science, health, physical education, technical education, digital literacy,financial literacy, art, and music.
Year-long French and Spanish courses are offered in grades 7 and 8.. Other electives such as band and chorus are available to students in all grades. Other opportunities for learning during and outside of the academic day include interscholastic athletics, student council, art, drama, gymnastics, music, robotics, math team, debate, chess, Dungeons & Dragons, and community service.
Grade reporting is done on a trimester system with trimesters being approximately 12 weeks long.
