As part of our continued support to our customer in the space sector we are looking for several Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) Technicians to join us on a permanent or contract basis. The salary/rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. The role will be based at our customer’s facility in Portsmouth and will involve shift work for which a premium will be paid.
Responsibilities- Utilise procedures on PREX, Apriso or Paper as an input into the testing process
- Review and Update where required Payload technical documentation
- Review Test Aid & Harness definition files and use as an input into testing process
- Become familiar with customer EGSE documentation
- Be aware of COSHH and RA documentation that support the testing regime.
- Installation, parameterization and validation of test means
- Installation and calibration of test set‑up
- Test execution in accordance with customer procedures
- Support for first level troubleshooting on test benches and tools
- Call to technical support when the nominal sequence of test operations cannot be followed.
- Disconnection, removal and storage of test fixtures
- Filling and archiving of documentation, redline of procedures
- Backup of test results and measurement
- Procedures completed and filled IAW customer requirements
- Payload testing complete
- HNC or HND in engineering/maintenance OR Apprenticeship in Aerospace/Space or other high quality production field
- Experience working in a high quality production environment relating to electrical/RF test
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment including knowledge of FOD/ESD practices
- General knowledge of Space systems, electrical engineering, Power subsystem, validation and verification
