We are currently seeking an experienced Personal Lines Insurance Advisor to join our team.
Position OverviewThe Person al Lines Insurance Advisor will manage and grow a book of home, auto, umbrella, and recreational insurance clients. This role blends client service, coverage counseling, and proactive account management.
This is an advisory role requiring a solid understanding of personal insurance coverage and the ability to confidently guide clients through coverage decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as primary advisor for an assigned personal lines book of business
- Review policies and proactively recommend appropriate coverage adjustments
- Process endorsements, renewals, and policy changes accurately and efficiently
- Market and quote new business opportunities
- Identify cross-selling opportunities (umbrella, life, recreational vehicles, etc.)
- Provide clear explanations of coverage, exclusions, and policy structure
- Advocate for clients with insurance carriers
- Maintain accurate documentation in agency management systems
- Contribute to a professional, team-oriented environment
- Active Property & Casualty license (NH and/or VT)
- Minimum 2 years of personal lines insurance experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of homeowners, auto, and umbrella coverage
- Ability to confidently discuss coverage gaps and protection strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented with high standards of accuracy
- Comfortable using agency management systems and digital tools
