Registered Nurse - Operating Room

$37.00/hr - $54.00/hr

• Sign‑on bonus: $20K for full-time; part‑time sign‑on based on experience.
• Hours are flexible – choose from 8 hr, 10 hr, or 12 hr shifts.
• Multiple services: orthopedics, neurosurgery, general, GYN, urology, colorectal, podiatry, breasts, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, bariatrics.
• State‑of‑the‑art operating rooms upgraded with latest lights, booms, equipment, and integration systems.
• Robotic surgeries (general, bariatrics, GYN, urology) using DaVinci Xi.
• Robotic procedures for total joints using Stryker’s Mako or Smith & Nephew’s Cori.
• Navigation systems (Stryker Q, Brain Lab, 7D) for complex surgeries, improving patient outcomes.
• Rare facility in New England with Stryker Airo intra‑operative CT for neurosurgery paired with Q navigation.
• Planned addition of second Q navigation system and new DaVinci V robot.

• The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) cares for patients aged 6 months through adulthood requiring surgical/invasive interventions.
• Deliver nursing care by utilizing a patient‑centered approach incorporating the Professional Practice Model.
• Provide team‑based, collaborative care to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Integrate best practices and current evidence‑based practices for optimal health care delivery.
• Utilize data to improve quality and safety.

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
• Must have operating room experience.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to achieve the following competencies:
• Within 30 Days: Basic Life Support
• Within 90 Days: Safe Care & Handling of Surgical Equipment;
  Decontamination of Surgical Instrumentation;
  Scrubbing/Gowning/Gloving;
  Aseptic Technique;
  Circulating General Cases;
  Setup of OR Equipment (Microscope, Surgical light systems, Electrosurgical Units, Lasers, Orthopedic Systems, Specialty Surgery Tables)
• Within 180 Days: Circulating Specialties (ENT/Plastics/Eyes, Vascular, Orthopedics/Neurological, Gynecological/Genitourinary, Robotics Surgeries)
