Job Details:

• Work day/night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week

• On-call responsibilities required

• Care for patients in 21-bed medical-surgical neurology unit

• Manage medical conditions including neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury

• Provide post-surgical care for patients following tumor resections, spinal surgery, and head/neck cancer procedures

• Monitor patients in primary stroke center and Level IV epilepsy center with implanted electrodes and scalp leads

• Required experience with chest tubes, various drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone

• Manage lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients

• Care for patients with trachs and laryngectomies

• Monitor telemetry and manage complex wounds

• Maintain central lines and perform blood draws

• Work with specialized epilepsy monitoring equipment

The facility is unique as the only epilepsy center serving both Vermont and New Hampshire, providing advanced neurological care including epilepsy monitoring with implanted electrodes and scalp leads. The hospital offers comprehensive neurosurgical services including tumor resections, spinal surgery, and treatment for traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
