The OR with 26 spacious high-tech suites may be just what you’re looking for. Both inpatient and outpatient procedures are done in these ORs, care is provided to patients of all age’s neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatrics. We have numerous opportunities for growth within the cardiac team and as well as openings in our other perioperative nursing teams.

You’ll be joining a team who both circulate and scrub cardiac cases, participate in minimally invasive valve replacement cases in the cath lab as well as initiate ECMO in our critical care units. While DHMC is situated in a lovely rural area in New Hampshire bordering Vermont, our patients come from throughout New England and beyond. You’d be joining a team of highly trained nurses, certified surgical techs, physicians and associate providers who take pride in providing safe, efficient and effective care to this patient population.

The Registered Nurse is a key member of the surgical team who may function in a circulator or scrubbing capacity. Services include ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, neuro, robotic, vascular, cardiac and thoracic surgery. We offer a periop 101 residency program for new and experienced RN’s looking to enter the field of OR nursing. D-H’s Professional Nursing Organization has also implemented a robust program to support nursing growth at the bedside through our Program for Advancing Clinical Excellence (PACE).

Responsibilities
  • Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status, taking action to modify the plan of care or to elevate to the care team as necessary.

  • Qualifications
    • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Certified Nurse Operating Room CNOR Certification Preferred.
