Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a busy adult surgical Med/Surg unit with recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience and a valid NH or compact license.

Job Details

• 36-bed adult surgical unit in a hospital setting,

• Patient population includes orthopedic, trauma, plastics, and general surgery cases,

• Main focus on mobilizing and rehabilitating post-surgical patients,

• Day and night rotating shifts,

• Telemetry monitoring is required,

Job Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required,

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required,

• Recent experience in Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma center within the last two years,

• Proven competency with chest tubes, central lines, trachs/laryngectomies, and complex wounds,

• Experience managing post-surgical patients with tubes, drains, lines, and administering drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone,

• 75-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible,

• Responsibilities include caring for post-surgical, orthopedic, and trauma patients, with a focus on patient mobility and rehabilitation,
