Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Neuro unit with trauma experience and a current NH or compact license.

Job Details

• 21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit in a hospital setting,

• Patient population includes neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, surgical tumor resections, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer,

• Level IV Epilepsy Center, the only one in Vermont and New Hampshire, treating epilepsy with implanted electrodes and scalp leads,

• Primary Stroke Center designation,

• Day/night rotating shifts, 36 hours per week,

Job Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required,

• Recent (within last 2 years) experience in a Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma center,

• Proficiency with chest tubes, post-surgical tubes, drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines/drains, trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry, complex wounds, and central line care,

• Current BLS certification required,

• No local candidates permitted; must live at least 75 miles from facility,

• Care for a diverse range of patients including medical, surgical, and neurological cases,

• Work in a specialized epilepsy center with advanced neuro monitoring approaches,

• Expected to perform patient monitoring, line and tube management, and wound care,
