Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a busy inpatient surgical unit requiring Level I or II trauma center experience and NH or compact RN licensure.

• Active NH RN License or Compact License with proof of state residency required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent equivalent Med/Surg experience
• Recent Level I or comparable Level II Trauma center experience within the last 2 years required
• Experience with chest tubes, lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients
• Experience with drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
• Experience with trachs and laryngectomies
• Telemetry experience required
• Experience managing complex wounds
• Experience with central line care, maintenance, and blood draws

• 36-bed adult surgical unit caring primarily for trauma and acute care surgical patients
• 2 negative pressure rooms available for COVID-positive patients
• Common diagnoses include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic trauma injuries, hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy
• LNA to patient ratio of 1:12
• RN to patient ratio of 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights
• 12-hour PM-AM shift schedule
• Fast-paced unit focused on rehabilitating and supporting trauma and surgical patients
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
