Overview
Vaco is hiring for a Real Estate Accountant. Salary: $80K-$90K. This is a direct hire opportunity for the Greater Cincinnati area.
Responsibilities- General ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries and cash receipts, coding and data entry; prepare JEs for month end accruals, amortizations and reconciliations
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing
- Monthly account reconciliations for cash, receivables, payables, accruals and lender obligations
- Timely payment of mortgage payments and Real Estate taxes for properties
- Enter new leases, process monthly billings and annual reconciliation of common area maintenance, security deposits, monitor utility switch over, maintain files
- Calculate and file 1099s
- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple entities completed accurately within a 5 days close
- Prepare documentation and work papers for annual external audit and review
- Performs other duties as assigned, including office administrative tasks like filing
- BBA or BS in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Hands on experience with real estate construction and/or development accounting
- Strong reconciliation and research skills over a broad range of accounts
- 5 years accounting experience
- Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills; self-motivation, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to change; problem solving, strategic thinking and a team player
