Vaco is recruiting for a PART TIME SR Accountant with a non profit background. This is an interim opportunity to help a non profit organization!
Key Responsibilities:- Review and validate daily journal entries for accuracy and completeness
- Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet roll-forwards
- Analyze and reconcile accounting activity dating back to July 2025
- Assist in identifying gaps within current accounting and reconciliation processes
- Help design and implement improved reconciliation and month-end close procedures
- Support financial reporting and general ledger integrity
- Collaborate with internal leadership to ensure accurate and timely accounting operations
- Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and clean-up efforts as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
- Prior experience with Blackbaud accounting software strongly preferred
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
