Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Interim Treasury Manager to provide leadership and continuity during a large-scale SAP implementation. This consultant will assume day-to-day treasury management responsibilities, allowing the current Treasury Manager to focus on the ERP transformation initiative. This engagement is expected to last 12+ months.
The Interim Treasury Manager will oversee a team of approximately six professionals across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable while maintaining ownership of key treasury functions, reporting, cash management activities, and month-end support. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational leadership, a process-oriented mindset, and hands‑on experience working within SAP environments. Prior SAP implementation, optimization, or stabilization experience is required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight for AP and AR teams, including workload management, coaching, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Manage critical treasury operations including cash positioning, cash forecasting, liquidity management, banking activities, and reporting.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex vendor payment issues, customer collections matters, and operational finance concerns.
- Produce and analyze treasury, working capital, and operational performance metrics to support business decision‑making.
- Own treasury‑related reporting and ensure timely, accurate information is provided to management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate treasury activities that support the monthly close process and broader accounting organization.
- Partner closely with accounting, finance, operations, and the SAP project team to maintain business continuity throughout the implementation.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help establish scalable procedures within the new SAP environment.
- Support change management efforts and assist with transition planning as new processes are adopted.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Significant treasury, cash management, or finance operations leadership experience.
- Prior experience managing AP and AR teams.
- SAP experience is required
, including implementation, enhancement, optimization, or post-go-live support. - Strong analytical, reporting, and process improvement capabilities.
- Experience with in manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams and maintain operational stability during periods of organizational change.
