FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the shop.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Manages assigned personnel, participates in hiring process, trains new employees, delegates overtime, tracks and approves labor hours and vacation/absences as well as conducts performance reviews and handles disciplinary actions, as needed.
Job Duties /Responsibilities:
* Ensures sufficient shift staffing to complete required production requirements.
* Communicates operational needs effectively to management and fellow employees.
* Interfaces with other departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials for continuous production flow.
* Ensures that the Company's standard operating procedures and quality control checks are followed in connection with operations.
* Performs root cause analysis for quality issues and implements process corrective actions to eliminate the root cause. Leads and implements special projects to improve production including 5S and Kan Ban to ensure an orderly and organized workplace. Compiles data for Kaizan projects to improve production efficiency.
* Ensures compliance with documented safety policies and OSHA requirements, when necessary, evaluates workplace safety risk and communicates concerns and resolves problems.
* Develops and manages the operations production schedule.
* Makes adjustments to department resource utilization in order to maximize efficiencies.
* Ensures the facility maintenance is completed when needed.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Ability to interpret and carry out a variety of instrutions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
* Ability to quickly make descisions due to changing priorities and or changes.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to use hydraulic horsepower formulas and other basic mechanical equations.
* Ability to read manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures.
* Ability to speak professionally and with confidence.
* Confortable delegating as appropriate.
* Possesses a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in business management, operations, or manufacturing engineering.
* Minimum of five years in plant operations and management.
* Previous experience using Manufacturing software.
* Experience using Microsoft Office with strong skills using Excel.
* Experience with OSHA safety standards
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
* Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
* Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at a time.
