Dock & Door Service Technician **Company Vehicle

Fairborn Equipment is a growing regional leader in the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial doors and loading dock equipment. We are seeking a Skilled Dock & Door Service Technician to join our team and provide on‑site support to customers across the region.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with dock levelers, overhead doors, and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as greasing, adjustments, and inspections.
• Use ladders, scissor lifts, and power tools safely and operate company-provided company van and uniform.
• Document all service work, parts used, and job notes using company-provided iPads.
• Travel to customer sites to complete service calls and participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours service needs.
• Identify additional repair or replacement opportunities and communicate with the Sales team.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or welding work (construction or electrical background is a plus).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, punctual, and results‑driven.
• Strong time‑management skills.

• Active, physical role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
• Work in various environments, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
• Occasional evening or weekend work as needed.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
