• This position works under general supervision & requires considerable knowledge of criminal justice or Ohio's adult rehabilitation and correction system in order to act for Warden by serving as institution's STG Coordinator gathering intelligence.
• Responds to possible STG incidents & informs Warden &/or staff of findings concerning STG activity
• Implements & enforces STG policies & procedures institution wide.
• Serves as administrative liaison between Warden, Operation Support Center (OSC), STG Administrator, Legal Services & Bureau of Classification & staff
• Coordinates activities with Bureau of Classification (e.g., notifications of inmate activity to determine appropriate actions).
• Serves as institution STG Committee Chairperson & conducts monthly meetings to discuss STG activity
• Provides training & technical support for security staff
• Researches & responds to inquiries & complaints from general public & outside agencies
• Serves on institutional committees
• Assists in staff development and training
• Assists with investigations
• Conducts site visits
• Acts as duty officer as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned
