At Crossroads Communities, sound financial management is about more than balancing budgets. It is what keeps our programs running and our communities supported. We are looking for a Financial Specialist who wants to bring precision, integrity, and analytical thinking to mission-driven work.
In this role, you will track grant expenditures, monitoring budgets, and turning financial data into insights that guide real decisions. You will work closely with our Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Program Directors, and community partners to ensure every dollar is managed responsibly and every funding requirement is met.

What You'll Do- Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing organizational and program budgets
- Track grant expenditures and funding allocations while ensuring compliance with grant regulations
- Prepare monthly financial reports, dashboards, reimbursement requests, and invoices
- Review financial transactions for accuracy, allowability, and compliance
- Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective action
- Support cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and month-end and year-end processes
- Maintain documentation for grant compliance and audit readiness
- Review payroll allocation and labor distribution reporting
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Help prepare reports for leadership, funders, and the Board of Directors
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial tracking, reporting, and internal controls
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, grant management, or nonprofit finance (preferred)
- Associate degree or Bachelor in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to interpret financial reports and grant requirements
- Strong communication skills and the discretion to handle confidential information
- Current Oregon driver's license and automobile insurance
- Experience with nonprofit accounting and grant-funded programs
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting and grant management principles
- Familiarity with Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS), Oregon Health Authority (OHA), or county and state grant compliance
