Description

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Quality Control Lead to join our team and ensure the highest standards of product quality and compliance with safety and operational procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities throughout the plant, from receiving raw materials to shipping finished products. This position will inspect production processes and orders and ensure that quality control testing is properly conducted.

We are looking for an individual who thinks creatively, challenges the status quo, and is always seeking opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall product quality. This role is critical to upholding the integrity of our manufacturing processes and contributing to the overall success of our production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review Production Orders for All

    Shifts:

    Inspect all production orders, including lot numbers, tag information, packaging, bag stencils, and blue tags. Conduct quick checks and conversations with appropriate line leaders to ensure order accuracy and completeness.
  • Coating Line Quality Control:
    Monitor quality control testing on the coating line. Ensure that testing spreadsheets are updated and accurate, and that samples are collected and recorded every two hours.
  • Polymer Line Quality Control:
    Conduct testing in accordance with polymer line practices.
  • Chemical Preparation:
    Oversee chemical preparation process – amounts, pump calibrations, and that proper mix book procedures are followed.
  • Finished Goods Inspection:
    Conduct regular inspection of our finished goods inventory for compliance, quality standards, visual appearance.
  • Rodent Control:
    Oversee communicating with our rodent control services and working with their team to ensure low rodent activity throughout the plant. This person would also need to become certified to conduct fumigation processes.
  • Safety & Procedure Compliance:
    Ensure all safety protocols and standard operating procedures are followed, including the use of proper PPE, correct lifting techniques, and accurate dumping paperwork.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in quality control, manufacturing, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in quality control or manufacturing role preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
    • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality inspection techniques.
    • Proficiency in using measurement tools, spreadsheets, and other data tracking systems.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with line leaders, supervisors, and other team members.
    • Basic understanding of safety protocols and PPE usage in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various areas of the production facility.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Work Environment
  • This role is performed on‑site in a manufacturing facility.
  • Regular interaction with production staff and supervisors to ensure proper workflow.
  • Must be adaptable to a fast‑paced and dynamic production environment.
Compensation
  • Competitive hourly wage or salary, based on experience within $25 - $27 range.
