Packaging-Production Associate

Our Pennington Seed facility in Lebanon, OR is hiring a Packaging-Production Associate in our Grass Seed facility.

Key Responsibilities

Keep the productivity of the line assigned at or above the level established as "acceptable" for the products being manufactured.
Awareness of the requirements of the product being produced – Weight, bags per pallet or box, type of pallet or box for the current run and communicate this info with the other line workers.
Be the quality control person for what is being packaged on this line.
Train other coworkers that are new to your line or area when asked.
Make sure the line or areas equipment are working properly and report any mechanical problems to the shop.
Make sure the line or area is clean and organized at the end of your shift.
Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the shift lead immediately.

Qualifications

Must be able to lift at least 55 pounds.
The ability to work closely with other workers on the line or area.
Demonstrate the ability to be able to learn new things.
Must be able to speak, read and write English.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Working Conditions

Manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary due to outside temperatures.
Work environment may be dusty.
