Packaging-Production Associate
Our Pennington Seed facility in Lebanon, OR is hiring a Packaging-Production Associate in our Grass Seed facility.
Key Responsibilities- Keep the productivity of the line assigned at or above the level established as "acceptable" for the products being manufactured.
- Awareness of the requirements of the product being produced – Weight, bags per pallet or box, type of pallet or box for the current run and communicate this info with the other line workers.
- Be the quality control person for what is being packaged on this line.
- Train other coworkers that are new to your line or area when asked.
- Make sure the line or areas equipment are working properly and report any mechanical problems to the shop.
- Make sure the line or area is clean and organized at the end of your shift.
- Report any unsafe conditions or practices to the shift lead immediately.
- Must be able to lift at least 55 pounds.
- The ability to work closely with other workers on the line or area.
- Demonstrate the ability to be able to learn new things.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Manufacturing environment where temperatures may vary due to outside temperatures.
- Work environment may be dusty.
