Metal Finishing Technician

PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies is seeking a Metal Finishing Technician to support production of high integrity aluminum investment castings for aerospace and industrial customers. In this role, you will grind, deburr, sand, and blend cast parts to precise specifications, interpreting blueprints and work instructions to meet strict quality and safety standards. You will use hand and power tools, gauges, and measurement equipment to inspect surfaces and dimensions, document results, and collaborate with quality and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Finish, grind, deburr, and blend aluminum castings to specified dimensions and surface quality
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop instructions
• Operate hand tools and power grinding/sanding equipment safely and efficiently
• Use measurement tools and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and surface finish
• Inspect parts for defects and nonconformances and report issues to quality or supervision
• Follow standard operating procedures, safety rules, and PPE requirements in all tasks
• Maintain clean, organized work area and basic care of tools and equipment
• Document production, inspection results, and any rework performed
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
• Participate in training and continuous improvement activities to enhance skills and productivity
