Community Engagement and Outreach Lead
Our Community Engagement and Outreach Lead is instrumental in advancing the mission of Family Tree Relief Nursery by championing our comprehensive programming needs. This dynamic role encompasses promoting our services, fostering community engagement, and facilitating outreach efforts. You will be responsible for hosting impactful tabling events, collaborating with community partners, and enhancing program visibility across Linn and Benton County. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional communication skills, a deep commitment to community service, and the ability to connect authentically with diverse audiences, driving meaningful engagement with our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities 90%
Program Support:
• Attend and actively participate in all FTRN program and department tabling events, serving as a key representative in Linn and Benton County.
• Collaborate closely with the TECP Program Director and the Development team to plan and execute community table events and fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Community
Education:
• Develop and implement innovative outreach strategies to effectively educate the community about the organization's diverse programs and services.
• Conduct engaging presentations, workshops, and information sessions to inform community members, families, and local organizations about available resources and support, enhancing community knowledge and involvement.
Event Coordination:
• Lead the planning and execution of tabling events, workshops, and community gatherings that increase program awareness and engagement.
• Forge partnerships with local organizations and community groups to co-host events, maximizing outreach efforts and fostering collaboration.
Communication and Marketing:
• Create compelling promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content, to effectively communicate program offerings and success stories.
• Leverage various platforms, such as social media, newsletters, and community bulletin boards, to enhance outreach efforts and maintain a strong organizational presence.
Data Collection and Reporting:
• Gather and analyze feedback and data from community events to assess outreach effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and inform strategic planning.
• Maintain comprehensive records of outreach activities and community engagement metrics, providing regular reports to management to drive continuous improvement.
Collaboration with Program Staff:
• Work synergistically with program managers and staff to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is disseminated to the community, fostering a unified message.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for community partnerships that align with program goals, enhancing collaborative efforts and resource sharing.
Administrative Duties:
• Organize materials and resources for outreach activities and events, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.
• Maintain meticulous records related to outreach efforts and community engagement activities, supporting transparency and accountability.
Other Duties 10%
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Executive Director, Program Directors to support the overall mission and goals of Family Tree Relief Nursery.
General Expectations:
• Adhere to all health and safety standards as mandated by state regulations.
• Attend and actively participate in required supervision, team meetings, and All Staff meetings, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Complete all data and reports within stipulated time frames, ensuring timely communication.
• Document hours and mileage according to Relief Nursery policy, maintaining accountability.
• Engage in community, work, and family events as assigned, representing the organization professionally.
• Maintain a basic knowledge of child maltreatment indicators and prevention, with recent training in mandatory reporting.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record and ensure reliable transportation, auto insurance, and compliance with organizational driving policies.
• Present a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
