. This is a contract, on-site position within the Medical Practice industry, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment.
As a Locum NP or PA, you will deliver timely evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients presenting with a wide range of acute and episodic conditions. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and positive clinical outcomes. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who thrives in a dynamic setting and is committed to accessible, compassionate healthcare.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for urgent care patients
- Perform physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Manage minor injuries, infections, and acute episodic conditions
- Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients on treatment plans, prevention, and follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, protocols, and quality standards
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-friendly clinical environment
- Participate in quality improvement and clinical best practice initiatives
- Associate-level clinical education and training as an NP or PA
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Board certification as an NP or PA
- Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Ability to perform minor procedures and manage acute conditions
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong time management and organizational abilities
Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care - Flexibility to work on-site as required for a contract position
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (9a-8p), weekends (9a-5p or 9a-6p)
Daily Volume: 25-20 patients
