Student Behavior Coordinator

We're seeking a compassionate and student-focused Student Behavior Coordinator to support the behavioral and social-emotional needs of students and staff at Lebanon School District. In this role, you'll lead Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), build meaningful relationships with students, and help create individualized strategies that reduce behavioral challenges and support successful transitions back to the classroom. You'll also work closely with administrators, teachers, families, and support staff to promote positive behavior and student success.

• Building strong, positive relationships with students that promote trust, accountability, and improved behavior
• Leading PBIS efforts that establish clear school-wide expectations, interventions, rewards, and consequences
• Creating a supportive ISS environment where students remain engaged in their academic coursework
• Using restorative practices and individualized behavior strategies to help students successfully return to their scheduled classes
• Supporting a safe, respectful, and consistent school environment through fair and appropriate discipline practices

• Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate, School Social Worker Certificate, or Licensed Social Worker willing to obtain a School Social Worker Certificate
• Required Act 151, Act 34, Act 24, and FBI clearances
• Willingness to maintain valid CPR/First Aid credentials and Mandated Reporter requirements
• Willingness to complete training in de-escalation strategies, Check and Connect, and trauma-informed approaches
• Leadership qualities and experience leading building support teams preferred

As our Student Behavior Coordinator, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Supervise and support students assigned to the In-School Suspension classroom
• Lead the PBIS team in collaboration with administrators and staff
• Develop individualized positive behavior plans in partnership with students
• Help students develop responsibility and ownership of their behavior
• Assist with academic coursework and support students with assignments
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, families, and other staff to address and remediate behavioral concerns
• Maintain accurate attendance and behavior records and communicate relevant information to staff and administration
• Assist with the preparation, monitoring, and implementation of Individualized Education Plans for selected students
• Support fair, consistent, and school-approved disciplinary practices
• Maintain confidentiality while appropriately communicating student information within legal requirements
• Promote student safety and respond appropriately to unsafe conditions
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school committees

You'll work closely with students in an In-School Suspension setting while collaborating with administrators, teachers, families, and other school staff. The position requires strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills, along with the ability to maintain a safe and supportive environment. The role may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 50+ pounds.
