Child Support Enforcement Specialist

This position focuses on supporting the Child Support Enforcement Program through analysis, coordination, and communication with multiple agencies. The role involves reviewing cases, assisting partners, resolving issues, and helping ensure program accuracy and compliance. As a Child Support Enforcement Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

  • Program Analysis: Review case information, analyze data, and assess program effectiveness to strengthen child support services
  • Interagency Coordination: Work with Domestic Relations Sections, County Assistance Offices, and partner agencies to resolve issues and support case activity
  • Case Review Work: Perform audits, evaluate payment situations, prepare reports, and help ensure accuracy in child support cases
  • Training Support: Provide guidance and training to staff on systems, procedures, and child support program requirements
  • Policy Clarification: Explain program rules, assist with resolving disputes, and communicate decisions to partner agencies and clients
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate complaints, gather information, document findings, and recommend solutions for unresolved case concerns

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Home Headquartered: This is a home headquartered position. You will be required to travel to Lancaster, Lebanon, and York counties and must reside in or be willing to relocate to one of these counties by the start of employment. During the probationary period, it is required to report two days per week to an office in Lancaster, Lebanon, or York County.

    Location will be based on the selected candidate. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

Qualifications

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in a domestic relations office which included the interpretation, application and explanation of policies and regulations and analysis of information; or
  • A bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training including one year in a domestic relations office which included the interpretation, application and explanation of policies and regulations and analysis of information.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:

  • You must live in or be willing to relocate to one of the counties of primary assignment:
    Lancaster, Lebanon, or York county.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check;

    a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
