Position: Welder - Hiring Now
We have a full-time, 1st shift Welding role at our Cornwall, Pa facility. Normal hours are Monday through Thursday 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM. We have a rich benefits package that includes:

Job Summary:

The Welder fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating welding equipment. Welders interpret company specific procedures to determine appropriate welding processes.

Job Qualifications:

Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or vocational training in mechanical technology or trades area preferred.

Experience:

3+ years of welding related experience

Skills :
Ability to follow weld procedures to repair and fabricate various metals utilizing SMAW/FCAW/GMAW/GTAW. Ability to operate handheld grinders.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and the ability to read/write in English. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Understand blueprints/drawings and the ability to interpret and apply

design aspects to current projects

2. Ability to successfully pass x-ray quality internal weld test SMAW/FCAW.

3. Good Mechanical and trouble shooting skills.

4. Position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits

following blueprints and layout specifications using jigs, welding torches

and hand tools.

5. Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications and to determine

structural soundness.

6. Review engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material

requirements and task sequences.

7. Overhead crane operation.

8. Forklift operation.

9. Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.

10. Dimensional inspect product using standard measuring equipment.

11. Meets all quality assurance standards.

12. Complete safety training program for welding position.

13. Responsible for housekeeping in work area.

14. Follow all safety and operating instructions, policies and procedures.

15. Other duties as assigned.

Physical and Mental Efforts:

General:
Extensive mobility required, some moderate to heavy lifting. Position requires ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally; walking and standing for long durations; see objects closely and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Position requires ability to concentrate with some interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.
