American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring a compact RN license or PA license, Epic experience, and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

• Community hospital setting in the Labor and Delivery unit with facility births under 100/month
• Patient population includes antepartum, low-risk labor and delivery, LDRP, Level I Nursery, and Mother/Baby care
• Typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Blocked schedule option available

• Active RN license (Compact or PA) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP (AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, including recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and use of external fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
• Experience managing high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, PPH, and VBAC/trial of labor
• Experience with medication administration including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Terbutaline
• Experience assisting with vaginal deliveries and circulating for C-sections

• Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and postpartum nursing care, including antepartum monitoring, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-section circulation and recovery, and neonatal resuscitation as needed
• May care for patients with COVID-19
• Facility is a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
• Candidates should reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
• Local candidates will be offered a lower bill rate
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
• Travel pairs may be considered, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
• First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience and travel history requirements are met
