American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift hospital position requiring Epic experience and PA or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a community hospital setting
• Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
• Facility performs fewer than 100 births per month
• Low risk patient population with 1:4 patient ratios
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 3:00 AM-3:30 PM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) work required
• Call requirements apply
• Floating required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• AWHONN Intermediate certification required; AWHONN Advanced preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in fetal monitoring, including recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and IUPC placement
• Experience with labor management including vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, and VBAC management
• Experience caring for high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia, placenta previa, and preterm labor
• Skilled in postpartum care including hemorrhage management and lactation support

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum phases
• Perform neonatal care in the delivery room including APGAR scoring and newborn resuscitation
• Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives
• May care for patients with COVID-19
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate; travel rate available for candidates outside this radius
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days
• Travel pairs may be considered, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
