Accounting Manager

This position serves as the financial lead for a growing trucking and hauling operation, acting as the bridge between accounting and day-to-day operations. You'll own key financial processes, partner closely with operational leadership, and help ensure the business has accurate, actionable financial information to support decision-making.

• Own and manage the division's P&L and financial performance
• Lead ticketing, reconciliation, and billing-related processes
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between operational and accounting data Support month-end close, accruals, and financial reporting
• Partner closely with operational leadership to improve processes and drive efficiency
• Review revenue activity and ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with customer and subcontractor onboarding activities
• Analyze business activity, identify root causes of issues, and provide recommendations for improvement
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to the operation

• Accounting experience at the Senior Accountant level or above
• Strong reconciliation, month-end close, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with operational teams and financial data
• Ability to investigate issues independently and develop solutions
• Strong communication skills with both internal stakeholders and customers
• Advanced Excel and systems aptitude
• Experience in construction, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or other operationally focused environments is a plus
